Healing

Our world is filled with people whose hearts are broken and spirits are wounded. Try as we might, all the glue in our cupboards and all bandages in the world will never suffice in healing us or binding us back together. Only the love and power of God can do that. Healing is not found by willing it up from within ourselves, or by persevering in our own strength; healing is found outside our bounds, in the limitless grace and compassion of God. He formed the universe and everything in it, by merely speaking it into existence. The sound of His voice creates new things—where there is hopelessness, He speaks hope; where there is sorrow, He speaks comfort; where there is despair, He speaks joy; where there is chaos, He speaks peace; where there is division, He speaks unity; where there is darkness, He speaks light; where there is death, He speaks life. He who holds the stars in their place can do all of this and more. He is the Lord God Almighty, and power and healing are found in His Name.

Psalm 147:3-5, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds. He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name. Great is our Lord and mighty in power; his understanding has no limit."
