Unshakable

The world around us shakes, rattles, and rolls with uncertainty. At some point in our lives we will all encounter seemingly random natural disasters, unexpected seasons of illness, disease, and loss. This world is an amazing place, but it is not perfect. Fortunately, we do have a God who is—He is perfectly loving, kind, merciful, just, righteous, and powerful. When things on this planet seem to spin into chaos, we can rest in the fact that we have a God who is still perfectly in control. Nothing surprises Him; He is never caught off guard. He is constantly aware of our situation. He is with us through each and every trial, tribulation, tragedy, and heartache. He is holding out His hand and asks that we grab on tight; He offers us His strength and guidance to help us persevere with hope. He encourages us to keep our eyes focused on His steady horizon rather than the circumstances around us—God knows that this is the key to being unshakable. We don’t have to be a part of the chaos; we can personally receive and bring God’s peace to the storm.

Psalm 16:8, “I keep my eyes always on the Lord. With Him at my right hand, I will not be shaken.”
