If we hope in things that are not based on the promises of God or founded on God himself, then we are left to battle with feelings of doubt.
If we hope in the Lord God above, the Maker of heaven and earth, then all our fears and doubts are appeased, and our hope is firm and secure.
God is unchanging—the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow.
He placed the stars in the sky and calls them out each night.
He has established the times and the seasons; He ordains the dusk and the dawn.
He places parameters around us for our own protection and good.
The Lord is perfect, holy, righteous, loving, merciful, gracious, and kind, and everything He does represents His nature.
His character is perfect, faithful, unchanging, and sovereign.
In God alone our hope is unshaken. In Him alone our confidence is found.
Psalm 74:16-17, “The day is yours, and yours also the night; you established the sun and moon. It was you who set all the boundaries of the earth; you made both summer and winter.”
