If Only

Everyone is clamoring to have their voices heard when what we all really need is to be still and listen to our Heavenly Father and to seek His ways. Our goal should be for the Words of Jesus to be heard throughout the world, His words of love, hope, healing, joy, and justice to be ringing through the streets and singing in our ears. Everyone is striving and pushing their own selfish agenda when what we all truly need is the selfless plans of God to lead us forward. If everyone would just be quiet for even a moment, then maybe we could hear His voice. The world is so loud with anger and hatred, only God can break though the madness and quiet our hearts and bring lasting peace. If only we would seek Him….

2 Chronicles 7:13-15, “When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people, if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land. Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.”
