Faithful

Lord, You are good to Your core and Your promise are true. Your love for us is faithful and Your ways for us are just. You are an anchor for our souls when the waves of life seek to set us adrift and relentlessly toss us about. You alone keep our heads above water when the currents try to pull us under. You are the horizon that steadies our minds and the sun that warms our hearts.

O Lord, You are the One we cling to; Yours is the hope that carries us through. Amen.

Psalm 145:13-14, “The LORD is faithful to all His promises and loving toward all He has made. The LORD upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down.”

This is me sitting on a wall along the Mediterranean Sea in the town of Caesarea Maritima where King Herod had his seaside palace and from where Peter set sail for Rome.

God is the anchor for my soul.
