Celebrate

Psalm 145:7-9, “They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness. The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love. The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made.”

These Scriptures fill my mind with images of great rejoicing—the grandest celebration and feast where the Lord is the center of attention, but the guests partake in all the blessings. The Lord’s House is abounding in goodness and righteousness; in His Presence there is no bad thing. There is grace and compassion for those who enter in and partake in all He has to offer. In His heavenly House the walls reverberate with joyful singing and praise. The sound wafts through open doors and drifts through the streets, inviting all to enter in and join the festivities. These verses bring peace to my heart and fill me with anticipation. They evoke feelings of gratitude and yield a longing to see Jesus’ face. Until that glorious day I will continue to rejoice!
